So after spending last weekend replacing my throttle cable on my '72 Djet car... a few days later (of course) my clutch cable started to go. So today I'm back at the pedal cluster (uggh) and replacing the clutch cable. I have the cable all run and into the pedal cluster so no issues there.

The kit I ordered from 914 rubber came with a tab washer... Mine did not have this installed. So I'm scratching my head now where this goes. I believe it goes at the connection point where the cable meets up with the bearing bracket. Does it go inside (where the wheel is) or outside towards the engine? Why is it shaped this way? Is there supposed to be an E-clip holding this all together? I'd like to make sure everything is right.

The point of the tab bends into the hole on the plate where the clutch cable deflection roller is by the trans. Where the cable slots into the holder in the rear.
